COMMERCIAL OR RESIDENTIAL PROPERTIES


RQC follows a thorough, multi-phase checklist to ensure your newly constructed property is spotless, safe, and ready! 

The standard post-construction cleaning process typically includes:


PHASE 1


Initial clean

  • Removal of Construction Debris: All leftover materials, trash, and large debris are cleared from the site.
  • Dusting and Wiping Surfaces: Every surface, including walls, ceilings, baseboards, doors, door frames, light switches, and window sills, is dusted and wiped to remove fine construction dust.
  • Floor Cleaning: Hard floors are swept, vacuumed, and mopped. 
  • Carpets and rugs are vacuumed.
  • Window and Glass Cleaning: Windows, mirrors, and other glass surfaces are cleaned inside and out, including frames and tracks. Stickers, adhesive, and paint splatters are removed.
  • Kitchen Cleaning: Cabinets (inside and out), countertops, sinks, appliances, backsplashes, and fixtures are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized.
  • Bathroom Cleaning: Toilets, sinks, showers, tubs, mirrors, tiles, grout, and fixtures are cleaned and disinfected.
  • Air Vents and HVAC: Vents, grates, and ducts are cleaned to remove dust and construction particles, improving indoor air quality.
  • Light Fixtures and Ceiling Fans: All fixtures are dusted and wiped, including those in hard-to-reach areas.
  • Cabinets, Closets, and Shelving: All storage spaces are cleaned inside and out.
  • Baseboards and Trim: Detailed cleaning to remove dust.
  • Paint and Stain Removal: Any paint splatters or stains on floors, windows, or fixtures are carefully removed.



PHASE 2 


RQC Inspection

(1-2 days after initial clean)

  • Final Detailing: Polishing of hardware, cleaning of mirrors, and a final inspection to ensure no dust or debris remains.
  • Recheck all areas: confirm properly cleaned and all dust and debris has been removed.



PHASE 3


Client inspection and approval

(5 days max after Phase 2)

  • Final inspection: Inspect all areas per Phase 1 are cleaned to quality standards.
  • Approval: provide approval of clean and invoicing



Some items are not standard in every post-construction cleaning but may be requested for an additional fee or due to unique project needs:

  • Exterior Cleaning: Power washing driveways, patios, exterior walls, and cleaning exterior windows
  • Deep Cleaning of HVAC Ductwork: Beyond vent covers, a more thorough cleaning of ducts.
  • Detailed Cleaning of Specialty Surfaces: Such as natural stone, stainless steel, or custom finishes.
  • Cleaning Behind/Under Appliances and Furniture: Especially if these were installed before cleaning.
  • Sticker/Label Removal: From windows, appliances, or fixtures.
  • Garage, Basement, or Attic Cleaning: If these areas were used during construction or affected by dust/debris.
  • Hazardous Material Removal: If any hazardous substances were present or disturbed during construction.
  • High-Access Areas: Cleaning skylights, high windows, or light fixtures requiring ladders or special equipment.
  • Sanitizing and Fumigation: For added hygiene.
  • Furniture and Upholstery Cleaning: If furniture was present during construction.
  • Appliance Deep Cleaning: Inside ovens, refrigerators, dishwashers, etc.
  • Carpets and rugs: steam cleaned

After Remodeling

 RQC follows a comprehensive checklist to ensure every trace of dust and debris is removed. 


PHASE 1


Initial clean

The standard items and areas addressed include:

  • Dust and Debris Removal: All surfaces, including floors, walls, ceilings, baseboards, and trim, are dusted and cleared of construction debris.
  • Floors: Sweeping, vacuuming (with HEPA filters), and mopping all types of flooring.
  • Walls and Ceilings: Wiping down or dusting to remove fine dust, cobwebs, and smudges.
  • Windows and Mirrors: Cleaning glass, frames, tracks, and removing stickers or adhesive residue.
  • Cabinets and Closets: Cleaning inside and outside of cabinets, drawers, and closet shelves.
  • Kitchen: Deep cleaning of countertops, appliances (inside and out), sinks, backsplash, and all surfaces where food is handled.
  • Bathrooms: Scrubbing and disinfecting toilets, sinks, showers, bathtubs, mirrors, and fixtures. Cleaning grout and tiles.
  • Fixtures and Hardware: Wiping and polishing doorknobs, handles, light switches, electrical outlets, and other hardware.
  • Air Vents and Filters: Cleaning vents and replacing air filters(when replacement provided) to remove dust and improve air quality.
  • Light Fixtures and Fans: Dusting and wiping down ceiling fans, light fixtures, and lampshades.
  • Appliances: Deep cleaning of any existing appliances.
  • Trash Removal: Collecting and disposing of all construction-related waste and packaging.



PHASE 2 


RQC Inspection

(0-2 days after initial clean)

  • Final Detailing: Polishing of hardware, cleaning of mirrors, and a final inspection to ensure a guaranteed clean.
  • Recheck all areas: confirm properly cleaned all areas, and debris has been removed.



PHASE 3


Client inspection and approval

(5 days max after Phase 2)

  • Final inspection: Inspect all areas per Phase 1 are cleaned to quality standards.
  • Approval: provide approval of clean and invoicing



Some items are not always part of a standard post-remodel cleaning but may be requested by clients:

  • Power washing exterior areas: Decks, driveways, porches, and exterior walls that may have been affected by construction traffic.
  • Cleaning behind or under large appliances and furniture: Especially if these were moved.
  • Removing paint from hinges, hardware, or glass: Sometimes overlooked during construction.
  • Detailed cleaning of specialty surfaces: Such as natural stone, stainless steel, or custom installations.
  • Cleaning inside HVAC ducts: Beyond just vent covers, for a more thorough removal of dust.
  • Cleaning high or hard-to-reach areas: Such as vaulted ceilings, skylights, or tall windows.
  • Cleaning electronics or decorative items: If present in the space.
  • Garage or attic cleaning: If these areas were used for storage or were impacted by construction.
  • Hazardous material removal: removal of any hazardous substances (like lead paint or asbestos)
  • Carpets: steam cleaned
